New EU Transport Rules from July 2026

From 1 July 2026, new EU regulations will change how international transport is organized. Light commercial vehices (2.5–3.5t) will be covered by the same rules as heavy transport, including tachographs and driver working time compliance. In practice, usage of light commercial vehicles means less flexibility, more planning and a shift towards structured transport solutions based on groupage networks. Predictability, accurate delivery times and operational control will become key — especially for shipments of 1 to 8 pallets. At Raben, we already operate our own European network, which allows us to provide reliable, well-controlled and predictable groupage solutions.
