RABEN GROUP PUBLISHES SUSTAINABILITY REPORT FOR 2025

2026.04.03
Despite a challenging market environment, Raben Group reduced its Scope 1 and 2 emissionsby 41%, expanded the use of green energy across its sites and strengthened governance and social standards. These results are presented in the Group’s Sustainability Report for 2025, summarising progress in implementing its long-term ESG strategy.

The past year remained challenging for the logistics sector. Economic uncertainty, cost pressure and regulatory developments continued to influence the operating environment in many European markets. Despite these conditions, the Group continued to implement its strategic priorities, including decarbonisation, the gradual renewal of the truck fleet, health and safety and working conditions, as well as the strengthening of corporate governance. These activities supported the development of the organisation and reinforced Raben Group position in the market. At the same time, it helped build stronger foundations for the company’s long-term growth.

“Responsible growth is not an option reserved for better times. We are convinced that long-term value creation must go hand in hand with environmental responsibility, social commitment and strong governance. This approach guides the way we develop our business and make strategic decision. Even in a demanding market environment, we continue to invest in solutions that support the long-term resilience and create value for our customers, employees and business partners”  said Ewald Raben, Raben Group CEO

Sustainability highlights 2025:

  • 41.1% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions compared to the base year,
  • 6.9% use of Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) in the owned truck fleet,
  • 96% share of green electricity at operational sites,
  • 33% share of women in managerial positions,
  • 77 points in the EcoVadis overall score.

Progress in decarbonisation and energy transition

In 2025, the Group continued investments supporting the decarbonisation of its operations. Within its own fleet, the share of biodiesel (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil – HVO) increased to 7.6% and 19 electric trucks were introduced. At the same time, Raben Group continued the gradual renewal of its fleet. Currently, 99% of the Group’s trucks meet the EURO VI emission standard, while including vehicles operated by transport partners the share reaches 73%. As a result, the company recorded – for the first time – a decrease in emissions related to freight transport carried out by its own fleet. The Group also expanded charging infrastructure dedicated to heavy-duty vehicles, bringing its total installed capacity to almost 6 MW.

At the same time, Raben Group developed new warehouse facilities in Poland, Germany and the Netherlands designed with energy efficiency standard. These sites use renewable energy solutions, including photovoltaic installations and heat pumps. In addition, part of the electricity consumed by the company comes from renewable sources secured through PPAs and certificates of origin.

Together, these steps contributed to a reduction in emissions from the Raben Group own operations (scope 1 and 2) by 41% compared with 2020.

Focus on health, safety and working conditions

In 2025, Raben Group also made further progress in the social area. A key milestone was the update and implementation of the Code of Ethics for employees and suppliers, followed by the launch of dedicated training programmes in this area. In 2025, over 40% of employees completed the training. At the same time, 8% of suppliers joined a programme that assesses their readiness to meet ESG requirements. The Group also provides tools to measure carbon emissions and supports suppliers in defining their decarbonisation pathways.

Raben Group also continued efforts to improve drivers’ working conditions and maintain appropriate infrastructure standards across its network, while supporting the Responsible Trucking Social Guidelines, which promote common standards for working conditions in the European road transport sector. These activities respond to challenges faced by the industry, including the shortage of professional drivers and the demanding nature of their work.

In 2025, women held 33% of managerial positions within the Group, a strong result in the male-dominated logistics and road transport sector.

Independent ESG ratings

Raben Group ESG performance is also reflected in external sustainability ratings. In 2025, the company received a silver medal in the EcoVadis assessment, scoring 77 points, which represents an improvement of 6 points year on year. With this result, the Group ranks among the top 1% of companies rated by EcoVadis in the Freight transport by road industry. EcoVadis is one of the most widely used sustainability rating platforms for companies, assessing performance across areas such as environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.

Raben Group also maintained a B rating in the CDP Climate assessment. CDP is an international non-profit organisation that runs one of the world’s largest environmental disclosure systems, evaluating how companies measure, manage and report their climate impact. Maintaining this rating confirms the Group’s continued focus on transparent climate reporting and the management of climate-related risks and opportunities.

At Raben, we drive long-term value creation alongside the execution of our Sustainability strategy. By focusing on implementing practical and reliable measures, we aim to mitigate negative impacts and translate them into positive outcomes. We believe this approach strengthens mutual trust among our stakeholders and promotes collaboration toward more sustainable future” - said Ewelina Jabłońska-Gryżenia, Raben Group Sustainability Director
