With the merger, Raben takes over the Luible branch in Leipheim, Upper Swabia, as well as all 130 employees. The family-run company has an excellent strategic location close to the motorway intersection to the A7 and A8 and in an important economic region.
Luible specialises in international general cargo and groupage transport. In addition, the freight forwarder organises the distribution of goods that require special care, such as hazardous goods.
"I am very pleased that we can expand our network with Luible, especially because the first contact actually came about unexpectedly. During the Corona period, in a phase with a high volume of shipments, Luible spontaneously helped us during a challenging time. That's how the first conversations came about, which then intensified." - says Raben Managing Director, Ewald Raben.
Luible has been on the market since 1949 and has been trading under its current name for six years since the merger of four forwarding companies. The company offers road and rail transport as well as contract logistics. It generates an annual turnover of 14 million euros. The company's own fleet of 55 vehicles is state-of-the-art and complies with European emission standard 6. With the integration into Raben Group, customers now benefit from a significantly more efficient and larger network with 39 branches throughout Germany. Across Europe, more than 10,000 employees work for Raben. The group also has 8,500 transport vehicles and a storage capacity of around 1.15 million square metres.
The agreement with Raben offers us new opportunities in Germany and Europe. We made the decision in the entire family circle," - says René Mick, Managing Partner of Luible GmbH.
Raben consistently continues its growth strategy
With the Luible takeover, Raben is expanding its general cargo network in Germany and gaining a first-class location with its branch in the Upper Swabia metropolitan region. The European logistics service provider has invested dynamically in the German market in recent years and has consistently implemented its long-term strategy of building its own independent general cargo network.
