The expansion of the product portfolio and the increase of operational excellence to increase customer satisfaction are strategic objectives pursued by both organizations. This is the reason why, in the second half of April, SITTAM and Raben Group reached an agreement to strengthen their cooperation through ownership and management changes.
The result of the agreement is the decision following which Raben Group will increase its share of SITTAM S.r.l. at 51% in July 2019 and the Bertola family, former owner of SITTAM, will remain a long-term shareholder with 49% of the shares. In addition, the owners have jointly decided to increase corporate capital to meet the challenges of the modern world by strengthening the company's positioning. Furthermore, at the end of April 2019, the leadership of SITTAM S.r.l. it was strengthened by Wojciech Brzuska, who, former manager of the Raben Group with over 20 years of experience in the TFL sector, assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer of the newly created company, Raben SITTAM.
Italy is currently partner no. 4 in the global international exchange, which is why the development of connections to and from this market is extremely important from the point of view of the Group's strategy. The ongoing transformation is the next step on the road to integration between Raben and SITTAM Italia. After launching Sittam groupage connections with Central Europe and the Netherlands and a network of daily connections to / from Germany, the time has come to look to the next milestone. " - explains Wojciech Brzuska, CEO.
The ongoing transformation is part of Raben Group's international strategy. The consequence will be greater customer satisfaction and a stronger position of both companies not only on the Italian market but, above all, on the European and global market. The acquisition is a confirmation of the even closer collaboration between the two companies. SITTAM actively collaborates with many leading companies in various sectors of the Italian market and, for the current partners, the acquisition of majority shares by Raben Group does not imply drastic changes. The company will continue to cooperate with existing companies according to the previously agreed rules.
Historical overview
