RABEN LAUNCHES PICTURE CONFIRMING DELIVERY

It consists in the touch-free confirmation of the delivery confirmation using a photo. The service is available from May 4, in Italy it will be active for export to the Raben Group countries, excluding Ukraine.

Therefore, now, in the era of the coronavirus threat, we are not wasting time and we are launching a new solution. With additional security measures in mind, we introduced the Picture Confirming Delivery (PCD for short) service, which allows you to deliver your shipments touch-free, with virtually no recipient participation. " - says Katarzyna Jaeger, Sales Director of Raben Group.

How does the delivery process with PCD work?

The delivery process with PCD is very simple. It is sufficient for the customer to place an order in the myOrder system (on the myRaben.com platform) in which to indicate their desire to use the additional and free PCD service. Then the driver, during delivery, leaves the goods in the place indicated by the recipient and takes 3 photos: of the label, of the shipment and of the shipment with the label. In this way, he conveniently confirms the delivery without the need for the recipient to sign for it, so that an adequate distance can be maintained between the driver and the recipient. The photos are automatically saved on the driver's mobile device and transformed into a delivery note. The document also records the truck's registration number, date, time, and geographic coordinates of the place where the photos were taken.
This innovative solution ensures that the photos were taken in a specific place and time. The customer can immediately see the proof of delivery on the myRaben platform in the myTrack & Trace module.
Of course, the recipient can always choose the traditional method to confirm delivery, i.e. sign on the driver's mobile device or on the transport document. Raben is flexible in this respect.

Benefits for the customer and the recipient

The PCD was created to make deliveries safer and more practical. The new service aims to facilitate the delivery process, even if the recipient does not want or cannot confirm the delivery with a signature and the shipment can be left in a place indicated by him. This solution allows for completely touch-free delivery, without unnecessary contact and interaction between the recipient and the driver. No unnecessary signatures and stamps are required. With the introduction of the PCD, remote pickup is also possible during quarantine. Picture Confirming Delivery, thanks to the automatic recording of data not only on the appearance of the shipment, but also on the date, time and place of delivery, and also the license plate number of the truck, gives greater certainty to the sender and recipient that delivery was completed at that location and when.
